ASH – End of the World
(Infectious – 10/09/07)
End of the World makes for a pleasant enough four minute listen but, in all honesty, it just isn’t the best advert for Ash’s new album.
Twilight of the Innocents is full of Tim’s typically twinkling pop-rock gems, but this isn’t really one of them. Focussing more on environmental issues than earth-shattering originality, it shows the band’s mellower side – which is no bad thing, and the chorus almost reaches the same sparky heights as Starcrossed, but there are far more stunning songs on the same LP just begging to be heard.
